Brief Biography:
Hunter completed his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Carleton University. During that time, he contributed to the aptamer database project, an effort to summarize aptamer selection protocols from 1990 to the present. He also participated in research projects aiming to identify and characterize novel aptamer candidates for the early diagnosis of Kawasaki disease. His current research focuses on the development of point-of-care diagnostic tools for SARS-CoV-2. Hunter’s other interests include sports, exercise, video games, and cooking.
