Brief Biography:
Jake completed his undergraduate degree in Bio-Medical Science at the University of Guelph. In his last year, he completed a research thesis related to microbiology and antibiotic discovery. He joined the Li lab in September 2021, where he is investigating the evolutionary origins of catalytic RNA molecules or ribozymes. He also holds an NSERC Canadian Graduate Scholarship (Masters). In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
