Brief Biography:

My PhD focuses on developing a paper-based DNA detection device targeted at endangered Caribou species. In previous years, I have worked in the United Kingdom as part of the Animal and Plant Health Agency in the department of Antimicrobial resistance and Brucella research groups. I have worked in diagnostic assay development for Tuberculosis in eSwatini and for covid-19 in the UK. I have a keen interest in developing point-of-care molecular tests to use on the field and low-resource settings.

Research Interests:

Microbiology, Microbial Genomics, Antimicrobial Resistance, Point-of-care tests, Molecular Diagnostics, Control of Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology.
